Transparency and speed are two critical elements of election administration, especially in an always-on information environment. Both depend on the effective management of a myriad of interconnected processes — from results transmission at polling stations to verification, aggregation, reconciliation, legal checks, and public communication.
This webinar examines best practices across the full results workflow. It recognises that in many countries electoral laws and long-standing traditions mandate complex or slow procedures, and focuses on practical ways Election Management Bodies (EMBs) can improve efficiency, resilience, and transparency within those constraints.
Learning Objectives
- Map end-to-end results workflows, from polling-station transmission to public disclosure.
- Identify practical measures to improve efficiency and resilience within legally mandated processes.
- Understand how transparency mechanisms, including transparency servers, support accountability and trust.
- Learn how structured public communication helps manage expectations during results consolidation.
